If the temperature is below 20 Degrees and above 10 degrees follow these procedures to prevent freezing pipes
- Leave heat on in the unit even when not at home or on vacation
- Open kitchen and bath cabinet doors so heat can warm the pipes
If the temperature is below 10 Degrees follow these procedures to prevent freezing pipes
- Leave heat on in the unit even when not at home or on vacation
- Open kitchen and bath cabinet doors so heat can warm the pipes.
- Open the tap so water can drip at a rate of a drop or two per second
- Flush toilets periodically
Note: Plumbing facing outside wall is very susceptible to freezing, so extra care should be given to prevent freezing.
Note: To help your furnace out and achieve the least expensive heating bills, be sure to change your furnace filter once every month. If a Serviceman is called out for a “No Heat” call, and the problem is determined to be the result of a dirty furnace filter, then the Resident will be charged for the Serviceman’s Trip Charge.
